Declined Transaction Fees

When a card transaction is declined due to insufficient balance, the following fees apply:

  • First declined authorisation: Free of charge.

  • Each subsequent consecutive declined authorisation: A fee of $0.75 applies.

  • Card termination: The maximum number of consecutive declined authorisations permitted before card termination is configurable between 2 and 11. Once the configured threshold is reached, the card will be permanently terminated, subject to applicable card issuer or programme provider requirements.

  • Resetting the decline count: A successful authorisation resets the consecutive decline count to zero.

Tip: To avoid declined transaction fees, ensure your card has sufficient balance to cover the purchase amount before making a payment. For platforms you no longer use, remove your card to prevent unwanted or unauthorised charges.
